Over the Thanksgiving weekend we finally got our desks. I had been looking on Craigslist for the right desk for my office. I have a limited space and finally I found one! This nice guy had 13 desks donated to his non-profit org that digs wells in Africa. The desks were so inexpensive and for such a good cause we were able to get 2 for less than what I had set aside for my desk. It pays to have patience and wait!
Well at the beginning of December we had a bit of a warm spell. Just enough to let some of Julies flowers have one last bloom. She also harvested the last of her herbs for the season. She covered her beds with leaves from the yard with help from Aaron. She anxiously awaits the spring (in Feb) where she can get her hands dirty again.

I know I haven't updated in 2 months - not that I haven't wanted to - but I haven't because even though there is much going on, I just didn't want to take the time to do it :-). To me this isn't a blog but just a casual place to update family things. If you want to know what's going on up to date - email - I still like more of a personal contact.
Here we are in 2009 - I know I haven't updated the site in awhile. We took this picture yesterday as a family. I have been out of work since Nov - and our family and friends have lovingly supported us the whole time. So we took this picture to send out in Thank you cards.
We know that this is another season we are moving into and we can't wait to see what happens in it!
Here is a picture of Abi all *dolled* up. We had a Fall Festival at Church and she wanted to be dressed for the occasion. She wore some of Julies clothes and high heels. YES she has grown that much. You can also see her here sporting her new haircut - so BEAUTIFUL- Hey so what if I am a partial judge?--- it's my website!

Since we are a homeschool family and we want to make sure we are doing what is best for our children, we have them take standardized tests at the end of the year. So we just received the results from the tests this summer. Aaron who is now in the 10th grade is performing above his level in every area. In most subjects he is well into the 90ith percentile levels. He does have a couple areas where he is in the 80th percentile. Abi who is now in 4th grade is performing on the same pace as someone who is in the 4th month of the 5th grade!
